Marc Chappell

Marc is a GCSAA Class A Member, a graduate of Michigan State University’s Turfgrass program and brings 10 years of experience as a Head Golf Course Superintendent. The last eight years of his career have been as the Head Superintendent with the Battle Creek Country Club.

During his career he has been a part of many high end events and qualifiers, including USGA, R&A, and state amateurs events. He has managed the Firekeepers Casino Hotel Championship for the last 8 seasons which is an Epson Tour event held at Battle Creek Country Club.

Marc is married to his wife Katie and they have two kids, Jake and Emily. Portage has been their home for more than a decade. Marc enjoys playing golf, working out and being active outside. Recently, he completed the Kalamazoo Marathon. In general, he’s a sports enthusiast but particularly likes rooting for the Detroit Lions!
