Eric Smith

Eric joined our team as Golf Operations Manager in 2017.  Eric is a PGA Professional, has a degree in business and brings thirteen years of experience as a Head Golf Professional.  The three years prior to joining The Moors, has been with Top of the Rock at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri – host of the PGA Tour Champions Bass Pro Legends of Golf Tournament.

As Head Golf Professional for Top of the Rock, Eric was responsible for all areas of the golf operation from its initial opening, including training of all staff, establishing proven processes, all merchandising and overall guest satisfaction..  He also was involved with the PGA Tour Championship in Atlanta, Georgia providing assistance for player and corporate hospitality, Am-Am Outing plus volunteer administration.

Originally from Southwest Michigan, Eric loves all things golf!  He qualified for, and played in the 2007 Michigan Open at The Bear in Grand Traverse Resort and was a former Boys Varsity Golf Coach for Lawton Community Schools.  While he has a passion for golf, he considers himself an all-around sports enthusiast.  He is passionate about Lawton Community Schools, he currently is a school board member, as well as coaches Boys High School Basketball with his brother Matt for the school.

He has been married eleven years to his beautiful wife, Lindsey, who is a 2nd Grade Teacher. Together they share a home with their two sons Elijah (Eli) and Samuel (Sam), and lovable Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepard Mix, Millie.
